There is plenty of news fodder this week. We start with a mention of Ger’s new book and it’s launch on Tuesday last. At once the ship is steadied the news of the week gets a look in with discussions on Maria Bailey being deselected to run for Fine Gael in the upcoming General Election, Deputy Danny Healy Rae’s call for permits for rural drivers who go to the pub for one or two pints, the HSE’s recently announced “Winter Plan”, attacks on sex workers, the QIH investigation and the possible modernisation of Ireland’s licensing laws.
