The first ever Trim Trad festival kicks off on Friday 26th October. The entire weekend will be filled with Irish music, dancing, singing and great fun for all ages. The festival is set to attract many people to Trim over the weekend and will incorporate the best of Irish Trad music in participating venues throughout the Purple Flag town. Some of Ireland’s best musicians perform in various venues throughout Trim.
Acts such as the Furey Brothers, Chris Kavanagh (Luke Kelly Tribute),Rough Water and Gerry Tully will be headlining the many gigs planned for the weekend. There is a Tradathon planned for Saturday from 11am, Raymond Loney provides the tunes for the big Ceili planned for 7pm that evening and there is a Busking competition happening with a prize fund of €250 available.
